Start Date: Negotiable

We are seeking a Venture Associate to help build a program from the ground up. In this role you will focus on deal sourcing and building a network of local, regional, and national venture capital firms. As an integral member of our team, you’ll be responsible for helping source new opportunities, performing analysis and due diligence on potential investments, and supporting the firm’s ongoing operations. You will work closely with the Partners and other team members to support the firm and our growing portfolio.

CCA has recently expanded its client base to include the Osage Nation, Seminole Nation of Oklahoma, Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, Muscogee (Creek) Nation, Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians, and the U.S. Territory of American Samoa. Our projects, funded by the U.S. Treasury, State Small Business Credit Initiative, are designed as revolving funds that fuel entrepreneurial ventures, both within our clients’ home geographies and for tribal members nationwide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deal Sourcing (40%) – Identify investment opportunities through local networks, venture capital firms, and inbound deal flow
  • Investment Analysis & Due Diligence (20%) – Review pitch decks, analyze financials, conduct market research, and assess investment risks
  • Deal Execution (20%) – Support investment structuring, negotiations, and documentation
  • Portfolio Monitoring (10%) – Track company performance, report key metrics, and assist in value-add initiatives
  • Investor & Ecosystem Engagement (10%) – Build relationships with investors, attend industry events, and expand the firm’s network
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, consulting, or economic development focused on responsibilities above
  • Strong analytical skills and experience evaluating early-stage investments
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with investors and entrepreneurs.
  • Experience working with Federally Recognized Tribes and/or Tribal Enterprises is a plus
  • Self-starter with strong project management and multitasking abilities.
  • Series 65 license (or willingness to obtain it).
