Job description

As the Commercial Implementation Specialist, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating all aspects of the project life cycle with responsibility for the client journey through the implementation of new clients in Commercial Bank, supporting Treasury Management onboarding efforts across the entire Commercial footprint which includes set up of programs and any design. You will partner with Relationship Managers (RM), Treasury Management Officer (TMO), Commercial Service Specialists (CSS) and Commercial Account Specialist (CAS) to ensure seamless client onboarding journey.
You will be responsible for the management of multiple simultaneous projects with regular updates and reporting to senior level associates. You will be responsible for managing the overall development & deployment with each client including maintaining all Commercial Implementation project plans, compiling issues, and ensuring updates to the plans are documented. You will work closely with sales and product teams to secure necessary resources to implement products for both new and existing clients in a timely manner. You will have the responsibility of working with the Client, Sales team, and IT to ensure approved projects stay on task and within scope. During implementation, you will be the central interface between UMB and the customer, coordinating project tasks or any client-specific customizations that may be requested.
How you will spend your time:
  • You will onboard Treasury Management services for new clients to the bank, client projects with extended time frames, and technical client setups.
  • You will manage the onboarding by identifying and coordinating appropriate bank resources by partnering with internal areas/departments to ensure services are onboarded properly.
  • You will provide consultation for TMO and their clients in the program design and implementation process, as well as data extract design for data integration with clients' internal systems.
  • You will translate client needs information received into an optimal system design.
  • You will prepare and coordinate appropriate client documentation for onboarding of client Treasury Management Services where needed.
  • You will present technical and applicable product material while training new clients on UMB applications and navigation of UMB platforms.
  • You will schedule and lead project calls with clients and key business partners.
  • You will lead collaboration with the project core team to develop and execute the implementation project plan, establishing clear expectations and providing transparency of timelines using project management principles and practices.
  • You will ensure deal deliverables are met and holds task owners accountable by managing implementation issues, escalations, and error resolution.
  • You will manage and coordinate client and internal partner communication and status updates, including senior stakeholders.
  • You will demonstrate creative problem solving and solid judgment/decision making.
  • You will take ownership, escalation, and resolution of risk issues.
  • You will manage clear expectations and understanding, internally and externally by establishing clear timelines and managing documentation requirements.
  • You will update project tracking tool ensuring updates are clear, concise, and audience specific and provide project updates in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring stakeholders and business leaders receive an accurate and concise status of each project.
  • You will act as a subject matter expert, provides training to clients.
  • You will work with QA group to ensure test plans have been developed and all parties have properly tested.
  • You will oversee transition and handoff from project to service support.
  • You will complete special projects and other duties as assigned.

  • You have project management experience, OR any combination of education and experience that would provide an equivalent background.
  • You have in depth understanding of customer facing internet-based applications.
  • You have great understanding of commercial treasury products.
  • You have working knowledge and understanding of implementation, servicing, and operational processes, preferably at a financial services company.
  • You have working knowledge of bank platforms, systems, products.
  • You have proficiency of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).
  • You have knowledge and understanding of Web-based Treasury applications, including but not limited to Pep+, mainframe, UMB Direct, UMB Online Banking or equivalent.
  • You have knowledge and understanding of Cash Management products.

US Employees in California, Washington DC, New Jersey, and New York:
$62,310 - $90,760
US Employees in Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas, Washington, and Wisconsin:
$56,890 - $83,080
US Employees in all other states not listed above:
$51,480 - $75,410
