Job description

ViaPath is seeking a highly skilled Treasury Operations Staff Accountant.  Reporting directly to the Manager of Treasury Operations, you will assist in reconciliation of product reporting between the customers system and the company internal systems.  The Treasury Operations Accounts Receivable team is an essential function in the Finance & Treasury Organization. This role involves providing customer support by researching invoice report discrepancies that may occur between systems and products.  You will then facilitate contact with both internal and external data engineering teams to ensure prompt and accurate resolution.  This process is an integral part in invoicing and cash flow. The position will support the Manager of Treasury Operations and provide updates and escalation of any customer reconciliation issues.  You will also assist in monthly banking entries and account reconciliations for various accounts.  This position will periodically assist in audit data gathering within internal systems.  This position is based out of our Mobile, AL office location and follows a hybrid work schedule.


  • Work with customers to validate reporting between systems. This will include working with the engineering team to validate discrepancies between systems to determine which dataset is valid.
  • Determine what resolution is needed to ensure proper customer accounting. Notify Accounts Receivable team of account adjustments necessary. Notify Manager if adjustment will have a significant impact on financials.
  • Validate and document customer/reporting issues. Maintain records of adjustments and assist in reconciling adjustments at month end.
  • Assist Manager in recording monthly bank entries and account reconciliations for various accounts.
  • Participate in monthly close activities, including leadership meetings and financial reviews, to ensure integrity of financial results and appropriate management visibility.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations/review to assist with validating revenue amounts using customer trend data as well as back-office reporting.
  • Assist with gathering data from internal systems for the yearly financial statements audit.

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 3+ years of work experience in Finance, Accounting, or related field; leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience with cash management and banking is preferred.
  • Familiarity with monthly financial closing and reporting a plus.
  • Working knowledge of D365 and/or Power BI is beneficial.
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel.
  • Ability to work directly with major customers and other departments within the organization.
  • Team player with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to interact effectively with leadership.
  • Proactive ability to use own initiative/judgement and problem-solving skills, with ability to demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality and discretion are required.
