The First Bank and Trust Company is hiring a Treasury Management Representative in Lynchburg, VA.

The Treasury Management Representative will be responsible for building and maintaining positive working relationships with commercial bankers, branch staff, and other members of the treasury management team to increase the number of profitable commercial deposit relationships in Lynchburg, Forrest and surrounding markets. You will provide expertise in sales and service for the Bank’s entire suite of commercial deposit products and services. The Treasury Management Representative will provide expertise in the sales and service of all Commercial Deposit products and services including Merchant Services, Remote Deposit, Cash Manager, Treasury Management products, Business Online and Mobile Banking.

Responsibilities:

  • Champion the region’s efforts in driving merchant services, remote deposit, cash manager, and deposits utilizing the Bank’s Treasury Management capabilities.
  • Grow regional Treasury Management portfolio through new customer sales, expansion and retention of current customers as assigned by the VP Treasury Management Supervisor.
  • Grow regional non-interest-bearing deposit accounts.
  • Provide training and support for customers and retail staff in the area of Treasury Management activities.
  • Train new customers on Treasury Management products and services.
  • Provide service to customers after the sale to include but not be limited to hardware/technical problems, deposit issues, and chargebacks.
  • Identify new business opportunities; make pre-planned (and joint) calls to potential new and existing customers.
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships and understanding of bank products and services to ensure commercial banking relationships are fully developed and the customer’s ongoing needs are met.
  • Serve as customer liaison with bank personnel to ensure compliance matters are adhered to.
  • Actively seek new commercial customer and business opportunities through joint calling efforts, community involvement, and center of influence connections in the market.
  • Assume responsibility for proper documentation and data integrity.
  • Review and prepare monthly reports pertaining to sales activity.
  • Stays informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies.
  • Prepare and present Treasury proposals and demonstrations as assigned.
  • Represent the bank in the community to develop business and promote The First Bank and Trust products and services.

Qualifications

  • Three or more years of related banking or treasury management experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree - Accounting, Business and/or Finance
  • Work Experience may be considered in lieu of an Bachelor’s Degree
