Description
Team Fishel , the Best Choice Employer in the utility construction business, is coming to the Akron/Cleveland area, and we are looking to hire outstanding Underground Telecom Laborers!
The purpose of an Underground Telecom Laborer at Team Fishel is to assist Crew in completing the project safely, on-time and within the customer's specifications for quality, and other work as needed.
Underground Telecom Laborers will handle projects of various complexities and perform physical site work assisting with our new business projects within our Telecom Construction division. It is also a great opportunity to be part of the initial team that will establish Team Fishel as the leader in utility construction industry in Northeast Ohio as it grows.
Responsibilities
  • Work as a part of a crew
  • Assist as required in all manual labor aspects of the project as directed by the Crew leader, Foreman, or Supervisor
  • Operate construction equipment
  • Handle physically demanding construction duties
  • Assist crew members in placing underground pipes, conduits, manual labor and shovel work, operate power tools

Requirements & Qualifications
  • Valid Class A CDL Drivers is preferred
  • Previous underground utility experience is a plus
  • Must be able to follow instructions
  • Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, dig and reach
  • Must be able to climb ladders
  • Must be able to travel
  • Must be able to lift, carry and place heavy objects

Bilingual and prior construction experience is highly desirable.
Team Fishel will provide on-the-job training in all areas of safety, including flagging certification, tool operation and maintenance.
