Weston & Sampson is seeking aย Seniorย Geotechnical Project Engineer in any of our North or South Carolina offices with 10+ย years of experience withย comprehensive experienceย inย geotechnicalย engineering and project management.ย ย ย 

ย 

What you'll do:

  • Responsible for project management; preparation of proposals, complex technical reports, specifications, and construction drawings.
  • Managing and reviewing work of junior staff and mentoring.
  • Some travel will be required to client meetings and project sites.

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil or environmentalย engineering.ย ย 
  • Master's degree preferred with concentration in geotechnical engineeringย 
  • 16+ย years of diverse and proven geotechnical experienceย 
  • PE certificationย requiredย 
  • Experience with dam safety engineering is a plus.ย 
  • Familiar with geotechnical aspects of Building Codes and Design Manualsย 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skillsย 
  • Strong leadership andย decision-makingย skillsย 
  • Must be motivated, responsible, and able to work independentlyย 
  • A validย driver's license isย requiredย 
  • PE certificationย requiredย
