Job description

The Inventory Associate is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory through regular cycle counting while assisting in processing items for the Open Box project and Bulk Return program. This role includes inspecting, organizing, and preparing returned merchandise for resale, donation, or other disposition, while supporting overall warehouse operations.
Responsibilities
  • Inspect, relabel, and adjust returned items for the Open Box project, ensuring they meet quality standards before being entered into the inventory system for resale.
  • Assist in the timely and accurate processing of return shipments to Bulk Return partners with the required documentation.
  • Sort and organize returned items by category, condition, and storage location within the warehouse.
  • Assist with regular cycle counting of inventory to ensure stock accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace by following warehouse safety protocols.
  • Work with the Inventory Manager to identify returned inventory items for special projects.
  • Oversee the disposition of donations to local and national charities.
  • Perform additional duties as requested to support the warehouse and inventory team operations.

Requirements
  • NetSuite experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, charts, and applying formulas to add operational value to data sets.
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail is needed to ensure accuracy in data analysis, processing, and reporting of reverse logistics functions.
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive in identifying opportunities for process improvement, risk mitigation, and optimization of reverse logistics management practices.
  • Ability to work autonomously, exercising independent judgment and decision-making on complex issues, and under management supervision.
  • Operates with a sense of ownership and urgency.

Preferred Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3+ years of experience in project-based work.

Work Location and Expectations
This is a 100% in-office position working onsite at the GOVX Fulfillment Center in LaVergne, TN. You will be required to report to the office five days per week and work a full eight-hour shift each day from the office. No relocation allowance or visa sponsorship will be provided.
Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a professional office environment and adjacent warehouse facility. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, printers, and packing equipment. This is an office work position at the GOVX Fulfillment Center in LaVergne, TN.
