Go to Market Lead - Retail, Consumer Goods, Travel & Hospitality
About the role
As a Go to Market Lead - Retail, Consumer Goods, Travel & Hospitality, you will make an impact by defining and executing the go-to-market vision, sales acceleration strategy, and ecosystem partnerships for Cognizant's Consumer Business. You will be a valued member of the Consumer Business Unit leadership team and work collaboratively with sales, marketing, presales, industry solutions, finance, and operations leaders to drive growth, expand market presence, and win net-new logos across retail, consumer goods, and travel & hospitality clients.
In this role, you will:
  • Define the long-term North Star vision and three-year go-to-market strategy for Retail, Consumer Goods, and Travel & Hospitality as the "Front of the Funnel" driving vision and strategic leadership.
  • Lead annual and ongoing Business Unit strategy planning, including objectives, scorecards, and alignment to account plans.
  • Drive sales acceleration, with a focus on large-deal pipeline generation, deal shaping, and conversion.
  • Build and execute a comprehensive partner ecosystem strategy across hyperscalers, ISVs, and industry platforms.
  • Orchestrate cross-functional teams to deliver integrated industry solutions, proactive offerings, and targeted campaigns.
  • Represent Cognizant externally with analysts, alliance partners, and at industry events, generating new sales opportunities.
  • Embed sales intelligence and data-driven decision-making, including dashboards and pipeline performance tracking.
  • Develop and maintain industry sales playbooks, POVs, and thought leadership aligned to market strategy.

Work model
We strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role's business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring regular presence in a Cognizant office in Dallas, TX.
Moderate travel (25-30%) is required.

What you need to have to be considered
  • 15+ years of experience in go-to-market leadership, sales, and market development within retail, consumer goods, and/or travel & hospitality.
  • Deep understanding of industry solutions, buyer personas, and market dynamics in the consumer sector.
  • Proven success driving large, complex enterprise deals and accelerating pipeline growth.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to build trusted relationships with C-suite leaders (CTOs, CMOs, Chief Digital Officers).
  • Experience leading cross-functional and globally distributed teams, including offshore business development partners.
  • Strategic mindset paired with hands-on execution and strong program management capability.

  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree.
  • Established relationships with hyperscalers, ISVs, and industry analysts.
  • Experience developing and scaling industry-specific solutions and GTM motions.
  • Entrepreneurial leadership style with a strong sales-first mindset.
  • Ability to balance vision, velocity, and operational rigor in a fast-evolving market.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual base salary for this position is between $200,000 - $235,000 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
