ABOUT THE ORCHESTRA TRAVEL TEAM

Our growing Travel + Hospitality team works on some of the  most coveted destinations and award-winning hospitality brands and attractions around the globe. Our clients cross all sectors of travel and hospitality, spanning international destinations and airlines to hotel brands and design-forward boutique properties, including Los Angeles Tourism, New Zealand Tourism, Marriott International Distinct Select Brands, Singapore Airlines, Bunkhouse Hotels, Trailborn Hotels & Resorts, INNESS, MOLLIE Aspen, SUMMIT One Vanderbilt and more.  

ABOUT THIS ROLE

Orchestra is seeking an Account Coordinator to join our Travel + Hospitality team. This role is a great opportunity to build a career in strategic communications while supporting clients across the travel, lifestyle, hospitality and culinary industries. You will assist with day-to-day account management, media relations, research, writing and project coordination while working closely with senior team members on integrated communications campaigns and media placements.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented and eager to grow in a fast-paced agency environment while developing strong communications and client service skills.

Role location: This role is based in our New York, N.Y. office on a hybrid basis. The team is in-office 3 days per week.

ACCOUNTABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

As an Account Coordinator on the Travel + Hospitality team you will...

  • Implement strategy and campaign planning for multiple high-profile accounts
  • Pitch and place media stories across local, regional and national outlets 
  • Write and edit persuasive external and internal documents such as press releases, op-eds, fact sheets, talking points, editorial board memos, and communications plans
  • Oversee day-to-day communications with clients, including staffing weekly calls, developing press recaps and participating in crisis communications, as necessary
  • Manage work streams across multiple accounts in the arts and culture sector

 Essential skills: 

  • Internship or other relevant experience in strategic communications 
  • Interest in PR specifically within the travel and hospitality space
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments at once, work quickly, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work with a team to meet group objectives

WORKING AT ORCHESTRA

Salary range (commensurate with experience and skills): $66,300
