Xylem is looking for a Traveling Field Service Technician to travel to different locations and service our water and wastewater treatment equipment throughout the globe.
What your day will look like as a Traveling Field Service Technician
The Traveling Field Service Technician will be responsible for the commissioning, verification of proper installation and repairs/troubleshooting of our water and wastewater treatment equipment at various sites throughout the globe. They use their technical skills to troubleshoot issues when they arise to keep the customer's equipment functioning properly and can adapt to a variety of work environments and quickly solve problems. The traveling field service technician not only ensures that the equipment is installed and working properly, but also manages customer relationships to boost customer retention and satisfaction, which ultimately boosts the company's profitability.
Equipment specific training will be provided, but previous experience working in a commercial or industrial environment is especially encouraged.
The person that fills this position will need to live near a commercial airport as the position will require travel to various locations globally Monday-Friday, with occasional travel throughout the weekend.

Position Requirements for Traveling Field Service Technicians
  • HS diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years technical experience preferred- industrial or commercial process water experience a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft office, including the ability to utilize smart devices
  • Ability to work in a high customer facing position
  • Ability to identify and remedy potential safety concerns
  • Ability to pass a background check, MVR, and drug screen
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record
