Traveling Construction Manager \u007C $85K-$95K + $3,000 Monthly Travel Stipend
About the Opportunity A leading fiber infrastructure construction company is seeking an experienced Traveling Construction Manager to oversee long-haul, middle-mile, backbone, and Data Center Interconnect (Client) fiber construction projects across the United States.
This is a full-time, direct-hire position offering a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits starting on day one, and a substantial travel stipend. The selected candidate will travel with the project as construction progresses into new markets nationwide.

Key Responsibilities Supervise underground fiber construction operations, including:
Directional Drilling (HDD) Cable Plowing Trenching Conduit Installation Manage field crews and subcontractors on active construction projects.
Ensure compliance with company safety policies and industry standards.
Oversee damage prevention initiatives, quality audits, project documentation, and closeout activities.
Coordinate project schedules and construction activities with the Director of Construction.
Review construction drawings, project specifications, and as-built documentation.
Monitor project progress, productivity, and crew performance.
Travel with the project as construction advances through multiple markets and regions.
Required Qualifications Minimum 5 years of Construction Management experience.
Proven experience supervising underground utility or fiber construction projects.
Hands-on knowledge of:
HDD/Directional Boring Cable Plowing Trenching Conduit and Duct Installation Experience managing multiple crews and/or subcontractors.
Fiber telecommunications, OSP, utility construction, backbone, middle-mile, or long-haul network construction experience.
Ability and willingness to travel extensively nationwide.
Comfortable working on a rotation of 4 weeks in-market followed by 1 week remote from home.
Strong organizational and leadership skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and project scheduling tools.
Preferred Qualifications OSHA 30 Certification. CPR/First Aid Certification. Experience with HCSS HeavyBid or similar construction management software. Experience reviewing engineering drawings and construction prints. Knowledge of project closeouts and as-built documentation. Data Center Interconnect (Client), Backbone, Long-Haul, or Middle-Mile Fiber project experience.
