Job description

Join a dynamic healthcare team as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) providing expert anesthesia care across various settings including the operating room, outpatient surgery, obstetrics, and post-anesthesia care units. This per diem role involves collaborating closely with medical and nursing staff to ensure safe, effective anesthesia delivery and adherence to departmental policies.
Key Responsibilities

  • Administer all types of anesthesia including general, regional, local, and sedation techniques tailored to patient needs.
  • Conduct thorough pre-anesthetic assessments, reviewing lab results, clinical history, and consultative information.
  • Evaluate and manage patient pain effectively, educating patients and families on pain control strategies.
  • Maintain a culture of safety by optimizing patient care environments and minimizing healthcare errors.
  • Obtain informed consent by clearly communicating risks, complications, and anesthesia options.
  • Develop and document individualized anesthetic care plans and perform assessments immediately prior to anesthesia induction.
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement and departmental performance activities.
Education and Certifications
  • Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia educational program recognized by the AANA Council on Accreditation.
  • Current certification or recertification from the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists.
  • Active Registered Nurse license in the applicable state.
  • Current BCLS, ACLS, and PALS/NRP certifications.
