Job description

Overview

This position represents patient care directed toward critical care areas, step down areas, general care areas and critical care transports.

Qualifications

Education/Licensure/Certifications: HS/GED Required. Respiratory Therapy College Program Graduate. ASBRT Licensure, and NBRC credentialing required for all HH Respiratory Therapy positions. BLS Provider certification preferred upon hire; required within 90 days of hire.

Experience: Clinical experience obtained while attending Respiratory program and will be able to function in critical settings including initiation, and support of, mechanical ventilation. Additional experience relating to intubation and critical care transport competencies are preferred.

Additional Skills/Abilities: Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly.  Must have the ability to perform and recommend procedures in all areas of bronchial hygiene, oxygen therapy, respiratory diagnostic procedures, and all levels of mechanical ventilation.
