Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Thornton, CO, requiring a minimum of 1 year of acute care L&D experience and active CO or compact RN licensure.

Details
  • Labor & Delivery unit located on the 3rd floor of the main building, featuring 14 LDRPs and 2 ORs
  • Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • Patient ratios follow AWHONN guidelines: 1:1 to 1:2 for Labor & Delivery and 3:1 for Postpartum
  • Unit staffing includes a charge RN, 2–3 L&D RNs, and 2–3 postpartum RNs per shift
  • EMR: Meditech/CPN (experience preferred)
  • Equipment used: Beacon monitoring system
  • Procedures performed include versions, C-sections, vaginal assisted deliveries, and D&Cs
  • 13-week contract
Requirements
  • Active CO or compact RN license required
  • Minimum 1 year of recent acute care hospital L&D RN experience
  • Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP (Advanced 9th Edition, American Academy of Pediatrics), and EFM-C or AWHONN Intermediate/Advanced (or NCCEFM)
  • US SSN and DOB required for consideration — no Canadian SSNs accepted
  • One professional reference required
  • No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
Additional Information
  • Postpartum experience is highly preferred
  • Prior Meditech experience is a plus
  • Ideal candidates are adaptable, flexible, and even-keeled in a fast-paced environment
  • Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
