Job description

Gensco currently has an amazing opportunity available to join our Human Resources Team at our Corporate Office in Tacoma, WA as a Risk Management & Claims Coordinator! Summary
  • Support the management of commercial insurance and worker's compensation programs in WA, OR, MT, AK, ID, CA, and NV
  • Support the day-to-day administration of worker's compensation claims, 3rd party insurance claims, property claims and other general commercial risk and claims related activities

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Worker's Compensation - support the Risk Manager with all aspects of worker's compensation claims, including the claims reporting process to the appropriate 3rd party carrier and all necessary follow-up with all parties.
  2. 3rd Party Liability Claims - support the management of all aspects of 3rd Party Liability claims, including the claim tracking, monitoring, and reporting to the appropriate 3rd party carrier and all necessary follow up.
  3. Administration - Assist with developing and implementing effective and efficient commercial insurance processes, procedures, and best practices
    1. Facilitate and respond as necessary to requests for Certificates of Insurance.
    2. Support the maintenance of all driver files, including FMCSA DOT regulated laws.

Education/Experience/Skills
  • 2-year or 4-year college degree preferred, HS diploma required
  • Previous safety and/or risk management experience preferred but not required
  • Previous insurance, worker's compensation, and/or claims management experience preferred but not required
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office) required
  • Ability to research and analyze various types of data
  • Ability to make recommendations that effectively resolve issues by using consistent and practical judgment
  • High degree of honesty, ethics, and integrity with prior work experience handling confidential information preferred
  • Strong presentation skills and speaking in front of groups of people
  • Must be 21 years of age or older with a good driving history. All company vehicles are equipped with dual-facing dashcam technology to ensure safety of our Team and the public.
  • Some travel required, same day and/or overnight as necessary
