Job description

Job Summary:
Lumen Solutions Group Inc. is a technology consulting services company based in Florida, specializing in professional IT consulting services. They are seeking a highly experienced Senior zTPF Developer with strong expertise in the travel/transportation domain, particularly in reservation systems, to design and maintain applications on the zTPF platform.
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain applications on the z/Transaction Processing Facility (zTPF) platform.
• Work on high-volume, real-time transaction systems, especially within travel or reservation-based environments.
• Develop and enhance TPF-based reservation applications using Assembler and C/C++.
• Integrate zTPF systems with modern technologies using Web Services, APIs, MQ, JSON, and XML.
• Participate in full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Utilize TPFDF (TPF Data Facility) and associated toolkits for efficient data handling and system performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, architects, and QA teams.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing applications for performance and scalability.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Strong hands-on experience in zTPF development (recent and active development experience is mandatory).
• Expertise in TPF Assembler programming and C/C++.
• Experience with TPFDF, TPF Toolkits, and core zTPF utilities.
• Experience with Web Services, APIs, MQ (IBM MQ), JSON, XML, and service-oriented architecture (SOA).
• Familiarity with tools like Postman for API testing and validation.
• Strong understanding of SDLC processes and development best practices.
Preferred:
• Prior experience working with rail/travel reservation systems.
• Exposure to modernization initiatives involving legacy zTPF systems and distributed platforms.
