Description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist (Inpatient) with 2+ years of experience and fluoroscopy skills for a Level II trauma center in Reno, NV.

Details
  • Inpatient Imaging Diagnostic department in a Level II trauma center with 800 inpatient beds and 80 ER beds
  • 4x10 schedule with varied shifts
  • Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts
  • Call requirements to be discussed during interview
  • May be required to float to other modalities or areas within the organization up to competency level
  • May be required to work major holidays and pick up one additional shift during the schedule period
  • Uses Epic for charting
Requirements
  • ARRT certification required upon hire
  • State of Nevada license for Medical Radiography required (license required if applicable)
  • AHA BLS certification required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience required
  • Fluoroscopy experience required
  • Recent travel experience required, with at least one 13-week travel assignment within the past year
  • Must demonstrate competency in OR Suite, Trauma Suite, and portable radiography without assistance
Additional Information
  • Provide optimal diagnostic imaging and individualized patient care for neonatal, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations
  • Perform diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures according to Merrill's Anatomy and Positioning guidelines and facility policy
  • Responsibilities include verifying physician orders, patient prep, billing, supply stocking, medical charting, informed consent documentation, and quality improvement studies
  • Consult with Radiologists on contrast media and image quality adjustments
  • Competency in OR Suite, Trauma Suite, and portable radiography will be evaluated at 90 days and annually thereafter
  • Facility serves a 500-mile radius and operates at a pace comparable to a Level 1 trauma center
  • Minimum of 2 major holidays required to be worked
  • Facility may cancel shifts without penalty for low census with 48 hours notice, up to a full contract period
  • No blocked scheduling permitted
  • RTO must be submitted with initial application and will not be added to the end of the contract
  • Local candidates are not accepted; a 60-mile radius rule applies
  • A 13-week break is required between assignments for returning travelers
