As a travel pharmacist, your job is to work on contract for a pharmacy to fill staffing needs while they look for a permanent employee. This job is otherwise similar to a regular pharmacist job. You measure out each dose of a medication, review the prescription for a patient, and otherwise support the pharmacy for the duration of the assignment. You may participate in clinical studies as well. This is a traveling role that usually involves moving to a new city for each new contract. Some travel pharmacists move as often as every three months. Some roles focus on special elements of the industry, such as researching experimental drugs.
