About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Prime Staffing to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Hilo, Hawaii, 96720!
ID: 63889315 Shift: 13-week contract. Surgical is a 12-hr. shift unit. No 'on call' requirement. Must be able to work Sh Description: Any traveler not currently in possession of an active State of HI license must apply upon acceptance of offer. Candidate must have Hawaii License by start of assignment. This is an 34 bed adult surgical General Job duties. Types of procedures required. Standard RPN III duties/skills. Knowledgeable in surgical pre/postoperative care Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. Vital signs machines; IV & PCA pumps; WOWS/EMR charting; Pyxis. Required skills and minimum years of experience. Standard RPN III skills (at least 2 yrs. experience) in order to be proficient in duties and role as a registered nurse; strong work experience in pre/postoperative nursing (i.e. abdominal surgeries, like lap chole/appy, mastectomies, thyroidectomies, chest tubes, drains Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. REQUIRED: BLS. ACLS. Shift or schedule requirements. Travelers will be assigned three 12 hour shifts per week. Floating to other units/departments. Travelers may be assigned to float to other units. Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. 1 RN to 5-6 patients. Dress Code: Regular nursing uniforms. Additional arrive the Thursday before start in order to go to employee health appointment on Friday.
