Spire is seeking a travel Medical Lab Scientist for a travel job in Atlanta, Georgia.

Job Description & Requirements

  • 40 hours per week
  • Shift: 8 hours, nights
  • Employment Type: Travel

Shift Options

- Evening Shift (2 openings): Monday – Friday, 2:45 PM – 11:15 PM

- Night Shift (1 opening): Monday – Friday, 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Minimum Qualifications

- Certification: Active MLS (ASCP or AMT) certification.

- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of dedicated experience in a Blood Bank environment.

- Technical Skills: Proficiency in manual techniques, antibody workups, and typing resolutions.

- Competencies: Strong clinical understanding of transfusion medicine and high attention to detail.

Parking will be reimbursed and we are local to the ATL market! Key Responsibilities - Process, prepare, and issue blood components for transfusion. - Perform manual tube testing (ABO/Rh typing) utilizing LISS and PEG methodologies. - Conduct complex antibody identification, including elutions. - Execute immediate spin and Coombs crossmatching. - Investigate and resolve ABO typing discrepancies. - Manage Quality Control (QC) protocols and documentation. - Utilize Epic and SafeTrace (training provided).
