Job description

Travel Medical Assistant

Bring preventive healthcare directly to patients across Washington in a field-based Medical Assistant role built for someone who wants more meaningful time with patients, less exam-room rush, and a clear community impact. You'll start with home visits in Snohomish County, support seniors and families through wellness-focused care, and earn $31/hour with paid travel time and mileage reimbursement.

Opportunity

This is a full-time, weekday Medical Assistant role focused on scheduled preventive care visits in patients' homes. Instead of urgent care or high-volume clinic flow, you'll help patients complete important wellness visits, identify care needs early, and improve access to care for communities across Washington.

You'll work independently in the field while using modern EMR tools to document visits and support high-quality patient care.

What You Will OwnPatient Home Visits
  • Travel to patients' homes to complete scheduled preventive care visits
  • Support Annual Wellness Visits, Medicare wellness visits, and Well-Child Visits
  • Spend meaningful, unrushed time with seniors, families, and community members
  • Help patients feel comfortable receiving care outside a traditional clinic setting
Preventive Care Support
  • Gather patient information and support hands-on Medical Assistant workflows
  • Assist with wellness-focused assessments, screenings, histories, and visit documentation
  • Help identify health concerns early so care teams can support patients proactively
  • Keep the focus on preventive care, not urgent care
Field-Based Documentation
  • Document visit information using EMR tools
  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical notes from the field
  • Adapt to changing coverage areas and patient needs throughout Washington
What Makes You a Strong Fit
  • 1+ year of Medical Assistant experience
  • Medical Assistant credential, certification, diploma, or equivalent clinical qualification
  • Hands-on clinical Medical Assistant experience with direct patient care responsibilities
  • Comfort traveling daily to patient homes
  • Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license
  • Willingness to travel throughout Washington as patient needs and coverage areas change
  • Ability to work independently in a mobile, field-based role
Nice-to-Haves
  • Experience conducting Annual Wellness Visits
  • Experience conducting Well-Child Visits
  • Prior home visit, mobile care, field-based care, or community health experience
  • Experience supporting seniors, families, Medicare populations, pediatrics, primary care, or preventive care programs
  • EMR or EHR documentation experience in a clinical setting
Pay, Schedule, and Benefits
  • $31/hour
  • Full-time schedule
  • MondayFriday, 8:00 AM5:00 PM
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k)
  • PTO and paid holidays
  • Paid travel time
  • $0.725/mile mileage reimbursement
Location and Travel
  • Field-based role beginning with home visits in Snohomish County, Washington
  • Travel may extend throughout Washington based on patient needs
  • Best fit for candidates who enjoy being on the road, working independently, and bringing care directly to patients instead of working only inside a clinic
Why This Role Matters

Your work helps seniors stay healthier and more independent, supports families with preventive care access, and brings high-quality healthcare into the communities where patients live. If you're a Medical Assistant who wants purpose-driven work, patient connection, and a role outside the traditional clinic environment, this could be a strong fit.
