Job description

Overview
Registered Nurse – ER travel assignment in a Critical Access Hospital located in Clearlake, California. The assignment begins on 09/14/2026 and runs for 13 weeks with guaranteed 36 hours per week on a 3x12-hour night schedule (6:00 PM–6:30 AM). Weekly pay ranges from $1,980 to $2,101 per week. This travel role is with Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the emergency department, with potential cross-coverage to medical-surgical and ICU areas as needed
- Triage patients, perform initial assessments, monitor vital signs, and promptly identify deterioration
- Administer medications, perform treatments, start IVs, and assist with procedures as ordered
- Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record (EPIC experience preferred)
- Collaborate with the ED and ICU teams, participate in handoffs and transfers, and uphold patient safety and infection control standards
- Communicate with patients and families, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to HIPAA regulations
Requirements
- Active California RN license
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- Experience: At least one year of RN experience within the last 24 months; acute critical care experience within the last 12 months, or EMT/ED Technician with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in good standing
- Certifications/Preferred: MICN desired to be completed within one year of hire; MICN, NRP, TNCC, and CEN encouraged
- Skills: Basic computer proficiency; EPIC experience preferred; ability to work in ER/ICU settings and to float as needed
- Additional requirements: All required vaccinations as a condition of employment (medical/religious exemptions may apply); E-Verify participation
