ABOUT THE POSITION

We are looking for highly motivated candidates with two or more years of experience in travel agency accounting to apply to join our Accounting department as a Junior Bookkeeper. The Junior Bookkeeper will handle, and assist the Controller with, different accounting-related items such as invoices, reconciliation, commission posting, and payroll. This employee will report to the Controller.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.

  • Complete bookkeeping functions including A/P, A/R, payroll, and credit card reconciliation
  • Monitor and track supplier outstanding commissions, including sending dunning letters as required
  • Process, invoice, and reconcile membership dues on company merchant account, PayTrace
  • Process reimbursements of company expenses
  • Maintain well-organized and efficient files to provide easy accessibility to commission records
  • Create weekly independent advisor payment statements and track supplier commission bookings
  • Manage back-end office systems (including QuickBooks, Salesforce, Tres Technologies, Ovation, Onyx, TACS, and Trams)
QUALIFICATIONS
  • At least two years of experience in travel agency accounting
  • Associate's degree, or higher, in Accounting is required
  • Experience with QuickBooks (QBO), Salesforce (CRM), and Tres Technologies
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and follow-through skills, as well as an impeccable attention to detail
SALARY RANGE + BENEFITS
  • Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000
  • After 90 days of employment, employees are eligible for:
    • Company-paid medical and dental benefits
    • Company-matched 401(k) - Four Hundred matches 100% of the first 1% of elective contributions and 50% of the next 5%
    • Paid time off (per year):
      • 10 bank holidays
      • $75 per month stipend towards phone bill coverage
  • After first year of employment, employees are eligible for:
    • Annual incentive bonus, 3% of annual base salary
