Job Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience required
  • Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center required
  • Current ARRT certification required
  • New York State Radiologic Technologist license required prior to start
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association required
  • Telemetry experience preferred
  • Injection certification preferred, with willingness to complete during orientation if needed
  • Experience with Philips and Siemens CT equipment preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Patient, compassionate, and team-oriented approach
Responsibilities
  • Verify patient identity and confirm exams before scanning in accordance with imaging safety protocols
  • Coordinate with physicians and care teams to support timely, accurate diagnostic imaging services
  • Prepare patients for CT scans and clearly explain procedures to promote comfort and confidence
  • Insert IVs when necessary for contrast studies and testing
  • Position and assist patients safely, including those with limited mobility, using proper patient-handling techniques
  • Document all required imaging information accurately in EPIC
  • Ensure images are properly identified and transmitted to PACS after exam completion
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe scanning environment
  • Support a cohesive, patient-centered imaging team while delivering excellent care
