Are you a skilled Maintenance Technician ready to embark on an exciting career journey in beautiful on Oahu, Hawaii? We are seeking a dedicated and versatile individual to join our team, where your talents will shine in a dynamic and supportive environment. If you possess a valid Hawaii Driver's License, have access to a reliable vehicle, and have proven experience in basic maintenance tasks, we want to hear from you!

-Location: Oahu, HI

-Employment Type: Full-time

-Position: Maintenance Technician

-Schedule: Monday to Friday 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM

-Hourly rate: $24.50

-Key Responsibilities:

Communicate in English by phone, text message, email communication and entering data. Perform preventative maintenance inspections and tasks including basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, drywall, painting, and masonry.

Troubleshoot and repair building systems to ensure optimal operation.

Ability to access tight spaces

Collaborate with a friendly and professional team to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.

Dedicated individual and detail oriented.

Provide excellent customer service while interacting with co-workers, property managers, vendors, and customers.

Ensure that mechanical equipment and systems are functioning properly and repaired as needed.

Create and maintain accurate logs of completed work orders, generate purchase orders and promptly report significant issues to HBM supervisors.

Operate machinery with good hand-eye coordination

Identify circuit breaker panels

Restock supplies

Effectively manage and maintain trash compactor 

Use a hydraulic jack to move trash bins 

Pool operation 

Adhere to all safety guidelines, including OSHA regulations, and ensure the use of appropriate personal protective equipment. 

Willingness to learn

Execute any additional maintenance-related tasks as directed by the Hawaiian Building Maintenance supervisor or property management.

-Skills/Qualifications:

Must pass HBM prescreen check

A high school or equivalent is preferred.

Basic mathematics knowledge

Valid Hawaii Driver’s License and reliable transportation.

Proven work experience in maintenance field or similar role.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and with a team.

Display strong organizational skills 

Good customer service skills

Ability to communicate in English (read, write, and conversational)

-Physical requirements: 

The applicant should be capable of standing, walking, bending, reaching (including overhead), grasping objects, kneeling, crawling, squatting, climbing, stooping, stretching, pressing, pushing, pulling, carrying, and lifting heavy objects at least 25 pounds - 75 pounds)

Engage in constant movement and stretching throughout shifts.
