About the Role

Transwest Mobile is seeking an experienced Field Service Manager to lead day-to-day service operations at our Houston location. You'll direct technician teams, manage service order workflow, uphold customer satisfaction, and ensure compliance with safety and performance standards. This is a high-visibility leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, mobile fleet environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily service department operations including scheduling, workflow management, and productivity targets
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop service technicians to maintain high performance and quality workmanship
  • Manage repair orders, ensure timely job completion, and maintain accurate documentation
  • Handle customer escalations, manage expectations, and ensure proactive communication
  • Coordinate with parts, sales, and operations teams to ensure efficient service delivery
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, DOT requirements, and OSHA standards
  • Monitor shop performance metrics and implement process improvements
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management of service personnel
  • Manage shop inventory and ensure all tools and equipment are maintained and operational

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Service Manager, Shop Manager, or similar leadership role in a mechanical, diesel, or fleet service environment
  • Strong leadership, team-building, and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Familiarity with service management software; Fullbay experience strongly preferred
  • Technical knowledge of diesel, mechanical, or automotive systems
  • Valid driver's license; must pass pre-employment background and drug screening

Preferred Skills

  • Proficiency with basic computer systems and productivity tools
  • Experience with shop scheduling software and technician workflow management
  • Working knowledge of DOT and OSHA safety regulations
