Position Summary: The Bar Lead is primarily responsible for providing excellent service to guests, remaining attentive to guest needs, preparing drinks with a strong knowledge of mixology, and confirming orders are prepared accurately and presented well before delivering food from the kitchen to the guests. This role will adhere to health code standards in food handling while delivering top-notch service, while helping leverage harborside dining and drinking and build or bring following for happy hour and weekend business and Port related workers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests and take drink and food orders.
  • Prepare and create a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes.
  • Stay attentive to guest needs in the bar and dining areas.
  • Deliver food from the kitchen to guests and ensure timely service.
  • Confirm that orders are prepared correctly and presented appropriately.
  • Maintain compliance with all health and safety standards for food and beverage handling.
  • Support bar operations by completing shift duties such as restocking cups, rolling silverware, pre-bussing and wiping tables, and maintaining a clean service area.
  • Manage and control inventory, including purchasing, receiving, storage and issuing of all perishable and non-perishable items
  • Assist with staff scheduling to ensure adequate coverage during operating hours.
  • Manage and train other bartenders.
  • Coordinate and lead on-site events such as bingo, themed nights, or other guest activities to enhance the overall guest experience.
  • Perform other job-related duties or special projects as assigned.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • 5+ years Bar Lead/Manager experience (preferred)
  • 10+ years restaurant/bartender experience (preferred)
  • Knowledge of POS systems
  • Strong multitasking, communication, and time management skills
  • The capability to work safely, efficiently, and neatly.
  • A sense of energy, passion, integrity, honesty, great attendance, and personal responsibility.
  • Willingness to work nights and weekends.
  • Must be within commuting distance to the Resort and have reliable transportation
