Job Title:Patient Escort

Position Type: Per Diem as needed

Schedule: Varied Shifts

Location: St. Francis Hospital

Purpose:

To transport patients and equipment safely throughout the St. Francis Medical Center campus.

As a Transporter you Will.

  • Observe for and report safety hazards and broken vehicles to the Lead Transporter for immediate repair.

  • Transport patients on stretchers, beds, and wheelchairs from one area of the hospital to designated area within the hospital campus, maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment for the patient being transported.

  • Promptly report any concerns of patients and/or happenings during transport to appropriate personnel.

  • Cooperatively assist in lifting patients in and out of beds as requested, exercising proper lifting techniques.

  • Clean wheelchairs and ensures that each area has an adequate number.

  • Keep incident log of transports.

Minimum Qualifications

  • HS diploma or equivalency (required)

  • CPR Certification- issue by AHA

  • Fingerprint & Child Abuse History Clearance (completed during onboarding once hired)
