We are looking for a Area Transportation Operations Manager to join our team in Dallas, TX. As an Area Transportation Operations Manager with Quikrete Heavy Construction Materials, you will be closely partnered with operations leadership, safety teams, and line of business leaders to improve utilization, service levels, and overall business performance.

About the Role
Responsibilities:
Manage regional transportation operations to ensure operational efficiency, profitability, and
service excellence.
Oversee and manage regional P&L performance, identifying opportunities to improve margins and
reduce operational costs.
Monitor and analyze KPI's including utilization, safety performance, equipment productivity, driver
turnover, and recruiting/hiring needs.
Develop action plans to address operational gaps and improve overall performance metrics.
Ensure compliance with company policies, DOT regulations, and operational procedures.
Lead, mentor, and develop transportation personnel across the region.
Foster a culture of accountability, communication, and continuous improvement.
Support recruiting, onboarding, retention, and succession planning initiatives.
Provide coaching and performance management to regional operations teams and frontline leadership.
Promote employee engagement and professional development opportunities.
About You
We Require:
Bachelor's degree in business, Logistics, Transportation, or related field preferred; equivalent industry experience considered.
5+ years of transportation, logistics, or fleet management experience with multi-site operational oversight preferred.
Strong understanding of transportation operations, DOT compliance, fleet utilization, and safety management.
Proven experience managing budgets and P&L responsibilities.
Demonstrated leadership and personnel development experience.
Ability to drive implementation of system.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and transportation related reporting systems.
Familiarity with CapEx processes and capital planning.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and relationship building abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, multi-location environment.
