RDP Foodservice is seeking an experienced Transportation Routing & Logistics Coordinator to join our Transportation team.

As the Transportation Routing & Load Planning Coordinator, you'll help ensure every delivery route is planned efficiently and executed successfully. You'll work closely with transportation leadership, warehouse operations, customer service, and drivers to coordinate daily routing and loading activities while helping improve operational efficiency.

This position plays a critical role in planning delivery routes, maximizing trailer utilization, supporting dispatch operations, and helping ensure our customers receive exceptional service every day.

If you're highly organized, enjoy solving problems, and like finding the most efficient way to move products from our warehouse to our customers, this is an opportunity to make a direct impact on our daily operations.

Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday. This position is designed to support our afternoon transportation planning and routing operations, with a typical schedule that begins in the late morning and ends in the early evening.

Key Responsibilities,

  • Build efficient daily delivery routes and trailer plans
  • Optimize trailer utilization, delivery sequencing, and stop planning
  • Review routes, loads, and delivery schedules for accuracy
  • Coordinate routing changes and communicate updates across departments
  • Support dispatch activities and daily transportation operations
  • Resolve routing and delivery issues in real time
  • Monitor route performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and customer service
  • Maintain transportation documentation and system updates
  • Support DOT compliance, safety standards, and company policies
  • Assist with reporting, special projects, and continuous process improvements

What We're Looking For

  • Associate's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, Transportation, or a related field preferred. A bachelor's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in transportation, logistics, routing, dispatch, or distribution operations.
  • Strong knowledge of delivery routing, load planning, trailer utilization, and transportation operations.
  • Experience using transportation management or routing software; Roadnet experience strongly preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated with exceptional attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset.
