We are seeking an experienced senior-level Transportation Engineer to work with our Baltimore Office Transportation leadership to expand our transportation design and construction management services while overseeing projects and contracts for existing clients. This role involves leadership, project and contract management, and client relationship development and management for multimodal transportation services across the Mid-Atlantic region and nationally. Responsibilities: Help expand WRA’s transportation design and construction management services Provide strategic business planning and lead new market development Build, manage, and maintain positive client relationships Support business development through proposal preparation and client presentations Provide leadership and guidance for complex transportation projects and programs Engage in hiring and mentoring staff, including acting as a technical and managerial advisor Guide the technical quality of construction plans, specifications, cost estimates, reports, and documents ensuring compliance with project and contract requirements Oversee the management of project schedules, budgets, and deliverables Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders Requirements: Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering Must be certified as a Professional Engineer in the state of Maryland Must have 15 or more years of relevant, progressive experience related to transportation engineering Experience managing transportation projects and preparing contract documents Knowledge of AASHTO, FHWA, and other relevant highway design guidelines, criteria, and standards required Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Positive attitude and willingness to work cooperatively with others Ability to effectively communicate orally/written at all levels of the organization Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to handle multiple assignments Benefits: WRA recognizes that employees play an important role in its success.
