Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Patient Transporter, you will provide essential assistance and transportation for patients and related items across our campus, ensuring a highly customer-sensitive and seamless experience.
Every day you will promptly and safely transport inpatients and outpatients to and from various hospital areas. You will meticulously confirm patient identification, greet and assist in transferring patients, and make conscious observations of patient condition during transport, reporting any issues to appropriate personnel. You will also maintain a clean and organized work area and report any malfunctioning equipment.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate a strong commitment to patient safety and exceptional customer service for all individuals within our facility. You will be attentive, observant, and capable of performing duties efficiently while upholding the highest standards of care and professionalism.
  • Safely and efficiently transport in-patients internally to and from various hospital departments as needed, including: Patient testing areas (e.g., radiology , cardiology, etc.), Other designated locations within the hospital
  • Utilize TeleTracking transportation software to schedule and track patient movements, ensuring timely and accurate patient transfers
  • Operate standard hospital equipment, including beds, stretchers, and wheelchairs, with proficiency and care.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients during transport
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and hospital staff to ensure smooth and efficient patient transfers
  • Transport medical equipment, supplies, and other materials to and from designated locations within the hospital as needed.

Job Requirements
Required
  • High School Graduate
  • Basic Life Support - within 30 days of hire

Preferred
  • Former experience in a healthcare setting
