Transport Associate

Abilene, TX

Pay: $18 / hourly

6:00AM - Finish

Schedule set at time of hire

Transport Associate requires Sit down forklift

JOB SUMMARY:

This role is responsible for moving inbound and outbound loads efficiently while maintaining accurate records and inventory counts

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload trailers
  • Maintain accurate inventory records with the help of R/F scanner and warehouse management systems
  • Confirm pallet and case counts against BOL (Bill of Lading) and/or PO (Purchase Order)

*Performs Additional Responsibilities As Assigned*

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and/or experience:

  • High school diploma
  • Previous warehouse experience preferred
  • Forklift certification preferred

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to operate R/F scanner

Physical requirements:

  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 80 pounds for a sustained time (up to 2 hours)
  • Ability to frequently and repeatedly reach overhead, stoop, bend, and twist
  • Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods while operating power equipment
  • Ascend and descend stairs frequently
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment (concrete floors, changing temperatures)
