Job description

HouseSmart Construction - Transportation Associate I

HouseSmart's Transportation Associate I will work with CDL Drivers and the Transportation Supervisor to safely and effectively escort Clayton's manufactured homes. This role will begin and end their day safely escorting toters and will work to assist teams on the jobsite with properly setting our homes. This is a dynamic role that allows team members to gain knowledge and experience on both sides of the Transportation and Installation of our homes. After experience in this role, the sky is the limit for your career opportunities within HouseSmart!

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Consistently work to be as safe a driver as possible, helping ensure the safe and efficient delivery of customers' dream homes with our team daily.

  • Assist leadership in thinking through best ways to move and set homes including finding best routes, maneuvering around set obstacles like telephone poles, etc.

  • Quickly and safely assist with varies pieces site preparation for the home including trimming trees, moving obstacles for the home, identifying, and communicating potential issues, etc.

  • Work to become an expert with jobsite equipment including the house tug, jade, platypus, etc.

  • Making a family's dream come true and delivering their home!

When You'll Be Doing It:

  • Full-time, Monday through Friday

Pay:

  • $18.00/hr+ based on experience

  • Paid Weekly

What Could Make You a Great Fit:

  • You have a clean driving record with minimal to no driving infractions, especially as it relates to speeding, following too closely, handheld device usage, etc.

  • You enjoy learning new things and working with your hands.

  • You have the ability to climb ladders, crawl underneath homes and lift up to 50 lbs.

  • You have the ability to and interest in getting a Class F endorsement as well as a DOT medical card.

  • You have a positive attitude and always work to be a team player.

  • You have experience operating various machines and the ability to quickly learn new machines like our specialty equipment listed above a plus.
