At Riverview Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, we believe that well-organized operations and dependable support are essential to providing exceptional resident care. Guided by our core values of Passion, Respect, and Excellence, the Central Supply Coordinator / Transport Assistant plays an important role in supporting both resident care and facility operations by ensuring medical supplies are readily available while assisting with resident transportation to and from medical appointments.
Responsibilities for Central Supply Coordinator / Transport Assistant:
  • Maintain accurate inventory of medical and nursing supplies and ensure all nursing units remain properly stocked.
  • Place and track weekly supply orders and monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages.
  • Organize and maintain the central supply area to ensure supplies are clean, accessible, and efficiently stored.
  • Communicate with nursing staff, nurse managers, and other departments regarding supply needs and inventory concerns.
  • Assist with transporting and safely accompanying residents to and from medical appointments as needed.
  • Lift, push, and pull supply boxes and equipment as necessary for stocking and inventory management.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to supplies and transportation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications for Central Supply Coordinator / Transport Assistant:
  • Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Rhode Island required.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook/email.
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to safely lift, push, and pull boxes, supplies, and equipment within the physical requirements of the position.
  • Ability to interact professionally and compassionately with residents, families, and staff.
