Job description

Scope of leadership role:

The Regal Business Systems (RBS) Specialist assists the RBS Site Leader driving operational excellence across all areas of the site supporting SQDCG (safety, quality, delivery, cost competitiveness, and Growth) through the effective application of the Regal Business System tools and methodologies, allowing the site to drive top line revenue growth and bottom-line profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • TheRBS Specialistisequalparts leader, coach, and doer who lives at Gemba where the work is done.

  • The RBS Specialist will focus on the entire value chain from quote to cash for all revenue streams for the site.

  • Assistin the development of thesitecontinuousimprovementroadmapandlead/facilitatethe execution of the roadmap.

  • Lead/facilitatetheimplementation/sustainmentof lean tools (Visual Management, 6S, TPM, kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, plan-do-check-act).

  • Support Model Value Stream planning and development (Vision and Challenges) and execution on supporting A3's.

  • Support management in creating Policy Deployment, Bowlers, KPI's and action plans.

  • Manage and report on the portfolio of Kaizen activities.

  • Oversee the success of the kaizen events, including:

  • Planning of events with a dynamic funnel process tied to Policy Deployment/Model Value Stream and Daily Management

  • Event execution; and sustainment of kaizen event results

  • Provide on-going master-level support and guidance onRBS principles/tools.

  • Act aschangeagent in challenging existing approaches and performance.

  • Shepherd implementation ofRBS principles/tools to improvesafety,quality, on-time delivery, and reduce operating costs and inventory.

  • Lead the development of strongproblem-solvingcapability and capacity within the organization. Provide direct support forManufacturingTeam Leader Development Program and other leadership development efforts.

  • Conduct and/or coordinate local training inRBS tools to deepenorganization'sunderstanding and capability.

  • Maintain and improveleanknowledge through continuous education.

  • Manage key projects/programs for the business.

  • AssistotherRegal Rexnordbusinesses and CorporateRBS Team in the development and implementation ofRBS tools and processes.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

  • B.S. Degreein any STEM field, supply chain, Business, or Operations

  • 3+ yearsof related experience in manufacturing, operations,processing,continuous improvement, or other related experience.

  • Experience inLeanManufacturingprinciples,RBS,or otherformof TPS is desired.

  • Creative and progressive thinker with excellent interpersonal skills (positive, persuasive, motivating) and able to communicate effectively with others at all levels in the organization.

  • Ability to analyze problems, propose solutions, test theories, research alternatives,and reach conclusions. Skilled in collaborative problem solving.

  • Organized with the ability to prioritize activities to achieve short and long-term goals andobjectives.

  • Flexible and adaptive approach to change.

  • Teamplayerwho can build partnerships while leading cross functional teams.

  • Self-motivation,drive, energy, and resilience.

  • Outstanding group facilitation, training, communication, and presentation skills.
