Job description

About the Role:
Eagle Transmission West Plano is looking for a skilled Transmission Builder to join our team in Plano, TX! This is a hands-on role where your expertise will keep vehicles running smoothly and customers back on the road. If you're passionate about precision craftsmanship and drivetrain systems, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities:
  • Disassemble, inspect, rebuild, and reassemble automatic and manual transmissions
  • Diagnose transmission failures and identify worn or damaged components
  • Measure and fit transmission parts to manufacturer specifications using precision tools
  • Replace seals, gaskets, clutch packs, bands, and other internal components as needed
  • Perform torque converter inspection and reconditioning
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the rebuild area
  • Document repair procedures and parts usage accurately
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in transmission rebuilding or drivetrain repair
  • Strong knowledge of automatic and manual transmission systems
  • Proficiency with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality workmanship
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced shop environment
  • ASE certification or equivalent experience is a plus
