Job description

Global Dimensions is a HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Fredericksburg, Virginia. We are a growing organization supporting critical national security missions through expertise in language and culture, training and education, information technology, cybersecurity, and intelligence.

We are currently seeking a Chinese-Mandarin Operational Language Analyst (OLA I) to support a critical intelligence mission at Fort Meade, Maryland. This position is ideal for linguists with experience in cryptologic language processing who are passionate about supporting national security through foreign language exploitation and intelligence analysis.

Essential Job Functions:

The Chinese-Mandarin Operational Language Analyst (OLA I) will:

Perform cryptologic language processing of Mandarin Chinese audio and graphic materials in support of intelligence operations.

Scan, review, and analyze foreign language communications to identify essential elements of information (EEIs).

Produce accurate gists, translations, and transcriptions of foreign language materials in accordance with Government standards.

Translate and transcribe intelligence reporting while preserving the meaning, context, and intent of the original material.

Recover, identify, and exploit critical intelligence information from foreign language source materials.

Develop and maintain working aids, glossaries, databases, and reference materials to support mission requirements.

Conduct research to enhance translation accuracy and mission effectiveness.

Collaborate with intelligence analysts and mission partners to support operational requirements.

Maintain strict adherence to security protocols, classification guidance, and quality assurance standards.

Support additional operational language and intelligence tasks as assigned.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Active Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) security clearance with a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph or Full Scope (FS) Polygraph.

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent international credential.

Minimum of 2 years of full-time experience performing cryptologic language processing.

Minimum Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) Level 2 proficiency in Mandarin Chinese (Audio or Graphic).

At least 2 years of experience performing:

    • Cryptologic language processing
    • Scanning foreign language material
    • Recovering Essential Elements of Information (EEIs)
    • Gisting
    • Translation
    • Transcription
    • Developing working aids and databases

At least 1 year of experience in a primary duty involving:

    • Translation
    • Transcription
    • Gisting

Desired Skills:

Experience supporting the National Security Agency (NSA), Department of Defense (DoD), or Intelligence Community (IC).

Familiarity with intelligence reporting procedures and cryptologic operations.

Experience working in fast-paced operational environments with classified information.

Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
