Overview:
Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

ICU Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

Up to $20,000 Sign-On Bonus

Mercy Hospital Washington is hiring an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) on the night shift.

Position Details

Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Department: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Location: Mercy Hospital Washington, Washington, Missouri

Schedule: Full-Time

Hours: 36 hours per week

Shift: Nights

Sign-On Bonus: Up to $20,000 for qualified experienced nurses

ICU Nurse Requirements

Minimum 1 year of ICU nursing experience required

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license

Missouri RN license or Compact State RN license accepted

Strong critical care, assessment, and communication skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment

Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods

Required Certifications

Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Additional unit-specific certifications as required

Join a collaborative 19-bed Critical Care Unit, including:

13-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

6-bed Transitional Care Unit (TCU)

The ICU cares for patients with a wide range of critical illnesses and diagnoses, providing excellent opportunities to develop advanced clinical skills, critical thinking, and critical care nursing expertise. The Transitional Care Unit supports patients transitioning from intensive care or requiring enhanced monitoring and treatment.
