Job description

Job Title: Personal Injury Paralegal Location: Portland, Oregon Schedule: Full-time, in-office (1 remote day available after training) Salary: $62,000-$85,000 Employment Type: Direct Hire Job Description: LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a Portland law firm to find an experienced Paralegal to support a collaborative litigation team. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced with Oregon litigation procedures. Personal injury experience is preferred, but candidates with strong civil litigation backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities:
  • Manage assigned personal injury matters from intake through settlement or trial
  • Open, maintain, and organize primarily electronic case files
  • Obtain, review, and summarize medical records, billing records, police reports, and related documentation
  • Maintain regular client contact and assist with routine communications
  • Track statutes of limitation, deadlines, and case milestones
  • Assist with investigations and case strategy development under attorney direction
  • Coordinate insurance benefits, including PIP, health insurance, and defense PIP
  • Identify and track subrogation claims and liens, including Medicare
  • Prepare settlement demand packages and assist with settlement negotiations and disbursements, including lien reduction efforts
  • Draft, format, and file pleadings, discovery requests and responses, and motions
  • Assist with trial preparation, trial readiness tasks, and post-trial filings
  • Occasionally support appellate-related matters in state and federal courts
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in personal injury or civil litigation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proactive, dependable, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, with experience using case management software (Clio preferred)
  • Typing speed of 55+ WPM with high accuracy
