Project Manager – Capital Markets

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager – Capital Markets to lead the successful delivery of complex business and technology initiatives within a fast-paced financial services environment. This role will be responsible for managing projects that support trading operations, risk management, regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and enterprise transformation efforts.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of capital markets, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and a proven track record of delivering cross-functional projects from initiation through implementation. This individual will collaborate closely with business leaders, operations teams, technology partners, and external vendors to ensure successful project outcomes while maintaining alignment with strategic business objectives.


Responsibilities


Project Leadership & Delivery

  • Lead projects through the complete project lifecycle including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, resource allocations, and status reporting.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet defined quality standards.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively manage risks, issues, dependencies, and scope changes.
  • Facilitate project governance activities and prepare executive-level status updates.


Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with business, operations, compliance, risk, and technology teams to drive project success.

Experience

  • 5+ years of project management experience within financial services, banking, capital markets, or a related industry.

  • Experience leading transformational business initiatives and process improvement efforts.


Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of capital markets operations, financial products, and transaction lifecycles.
