Job description

Amazon is seeking a Senior ERP Transformation manager to lead Accounting program execution for a multi-year transformation of Amazon's Finance ERP platform. This leader will serve as a lead for the ERP transformation, driving integrated execution across Accounting, Finance, Product, Engineering, Solution Architecture, Internal Controls, SAP, and implementation partners.
This role will translate the ERP transformation strategy into an executable program and ensure Accounting requirements are successfully delivered through design, build, testing, deployment, and stabilization. The Senior ERP Transformation Manager will establish program governance, drive cross-functional decisions, manage risks and dependencies, coordinate Accounting workstreams, and ensure the program remains aligned with Amazon's controllership, financial reporting, and operational requirements.
The ideal candidate combines deep accounting and controllership expertise with exceptional large-scale program leadership

They should be comfortable operating at the intersection of Accounting and technology, navigating ambiguity, influencing senior leaders, and driving complex decisions across organizations. This person will not simply track milestones; they will identify issues before they become critical, create mechanisms to resolve them, and drive teams toward clear decisions and measurable outcomes.
The role requires strong knowledge of Finance ERP processes and capabilities, including General Ledger, Record-to-Report, consolidation, intercompany accounting, foreign currency, chart of accounts, legal entity structures, subledgers, financial reporting, and internal controls. Experience with large-scale SAP S/4HANA, Oracle ERP, or comparable Finance transformation programs is highly preferred.
Key job responsibilities
Lead Accounting program execution for Amazon's Finance ERP transformation, establishing the integrated plan, governance, decision mechanisms, and operating cadence.
Drive execution across ERP design, configuration, data, integrations, controls, testing, deployment, and business readiness, managing dependencies, risks, and critical-path activities.
Partner with Accounting leaders and SMEs to translate controllership and financial reporting requirements into program decisions, priorities, and deliverables.
Drive cross-functional alignment across Accounting, Finance, Product, Engineering, Solution Architecture, Internal Controls, SAP, and implementation partners.
Drive Accounting readiness for key milestones, including design approvals, testing, controls, cutover, and go-live.
Own senior leadership reporting and executive narratives, clearly communicating progress, decisions, trade-offs, risks, dependencies, and recommendations.
Identify opportunities to simplify Accounting processes, reduce manual activities, strengthen controllership, and maximize adoption of standard ERP capabilities.
Mentor program managers and establish scalable mechanisms that drive transparency, ownership, accountability, and delivery excellence.
A day in the life
You will lead day-to-day execution of Amazon's Finance ERP transformation for Accounting, coordinating across Accounting, Product, Engineering, Solution Architecture, Internal Controls, SAP, and implementation partners.
Your day may include reviewing milestones and risks, resolving cross-functional dependencies, driving key design and readiness decisions, and preparing leadership updates

You will also help simplify legacy processes, strengthen controllership, and ensure Accounting is ready for testing, cutover, and go-live.
About the team
Accounting Transformation Group drives initiatives that modernize accounting processes, improve controllership, and enable scalable growth across Amazon. The team works at the intersection of accounting, finance, process design, and technology to build better mechanisms, improve financial operations, and support new business models with strong and efficient financial foundations.
