Job description

Progressive Die Stamping Press Operator

Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire or Direct Hire (based on your preference)

Status: Full-Time, 1st Shift

Compensation: $18–$22 per hour (DOE)

Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM

Location: On-site

A day in the life

At 6:00 AM, you review work instructions, confirm tooling and materials, and power up the punch press. Through the morning, you run production lots, creating metal components that match specifications and quality standards. You wash or oil parts as required, perform precision checks with hand metrology tools, and keep your station orderly and safe. When something isn’t quite right, you troubleshoot mechanical issues, communicate clearly with your supervisor, and support adjacent production needs. Before you wrap up at 4:30 PM, you document results, tidy the work area, and hand off cleanly to teammates.

What you’ll do
  • Operate punch presses and related department machinery to produce metal parts to specification and per work instructions
  • Wash or oil parts as needed for process and part protection
  • Apply safety policies and procedures at all times; keep a clean, organized, efficient workstation
  • Use precision measurement and inspection techniques to verify quality
  • Deburr parts and complete finishing tasks as required
  • Troubleshoot equipment and mechanical issues to maintain consistent production
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers; support general production as needed

  • Previous punch press or metal stamping experience
