URGENTLY HIRING!!! MUST HAVE METAL STAMPING EXPERIENCE ON LARGE TONNAGE TRANSFER AND PROGRESSIVE PRESSES


The stamping technician sets up, programs and operates transfer stamping presses to produce traditional high strength metal stampings as well as single hit hydraulic hot stamping presses to produce lightweight hot metal stampings



Duties and Responsibilities:·

·         Ability to effectively operate conventional stamping press

·         Ability to learn and effectively operate hot stamping press

·         Ability to learn and effectively set dies

·         Ability to obtain company hi-lo and crane licenses

  • Understanding of programming and setup of Die Protection Sensor.
  • Understanding of tonnage monitors.
  • Assembles, installs, and aligns dies in press according to specifications working with die setters.
  • Install nest and fingers.
  • Positions work piece in nest or feeder.
  • Starts press and observes operation to detect misalignment or malfunction.
  • Inspects work pieces for conformance to specifications and adjusts machine to correct errors including first piece.
  • Cleans machines.
  • Catches, packs and inspects parts.
  • Operate Quality Gages.
  • Perform hourly checks.
  • Fill out lot tags, production reports, and die maintenance control forms.
  • Reports any problems to Coordinator.
  • Punctual and regular attendance is required.
  • Performs routine and preventative maintenance and setup including, but not limited to, die setting/fastening, machine lubrication. Tools utilized include hand held pliers, wrenches screw/drivers, die bars, etc.
  • Keeps work areas clean and orderly.
  • Participates in continuous improvement activities.
  • Assumes other duties as directed by supervisor.
