We are seeking a qualified Entry-, Junior-, or Mid-Level Financial Analyst in Arlington, VA. This position is not eligible for hybrid or remote work situations. This is a 100% on-site, in-office position.
Position Description:
The selectee will perform as the Decision Technologies Financial Analyst for a US Navy Weapons Engineering and Program Acquisition Support contract.
YOU MUST BE ELIGIBLE FOR A DOD SECRET CLEARANCE
Responsibilities
• Providing advice and technical assistance in the preparation of annual budgets
• Measure organizational performance; assess the effects of various programs and policies on the budget
• Examine budget estimates or proposals for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with established procedures, regulations, and organizational objectives
• Examine past and current budgets and research economic and financial developments that affect the organization's spending
• Coordinate financial activities across various stakeholders
• Manage finances across multiple funding types
• Track budgets, costs, and variances
• Produce executive summaries
• Conduct financial reporting and analysis of financial issues and customer requirements
• Interpret and apply financial management principles
• Apply financial management processes, techniques, policies, regulations and organizational strategic goals
Required Qualifications
• Entry-Level: Some education in pursuit of a business or finance career.
• Junior-Level: 1-3 years' experience as a financial analyst
• Mid-Level: 4-10 years' experience as a contracts or program analyst for a Government program office
Desired Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline
• Direct experience as a financial analyst with NAVSEA or PEO IWS program offices
• An active SECRET clearance
• Knowledge of Navy-specific financial systems such as ERP, MSIL, and NEPS
• Experience working with financial actions and task tracking for ACAT-1/2/3 acquisition programs.
• Ability to work effectively with team members and subcontractors from various technical, acquisition, and administrative disciplines
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills
• Ability to develop and deliver coherent and concise customer presentations
Travel Requirements:
• Limited travel requirements (<10%)
