Job description

Overview:

Autonomous vehicle operators and supervisors play an important role in enabling our Client to achieve its goal of developing and commercializing its autonomous driving technology, services, and passenger experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The Control Center Dispatcher will be driving the goal of consolidating tasks for numerous global locations ensuring flawless execution of operations
  • Assures that all service is performed as dispatched daily
  • Action operational alerts from multiple business units, including ownership of Transdev and client fatigue and mobile device policies
  • Monitor health of Client Autonomous Vehicle fleet and Transdev operators
  • Support client’s operations leadership team in daily operations dispatch, including JIT staffing and mission assignments, assisting with validation testing, and communicating with various teams
  • Review multiple data streams to identify operational performance gaps and assist with bridging to Client and Operations Leadership
  • Ensures compliance throughout the division to global process standards and works on continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintains routine records and performs a variety of clerical work activities related to global Transdev operations
  • Maintains high degree of confidentiality of all information
  • All other duties as required

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED Required;
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred
  • Degree in Communications, Business, Logistics, Operations, or related field - preferred

Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs):

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to organize and prioritize dynamic workloads
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Experience communicating with people from multiple backgrounds
  • Comfortable in team environments
  • Proficiency with using a touchscreen smartphone (Android preferred but not required)
  • Travel up to 20% of the time

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to manipulate; handle or feel; reach with hands or arms; and talk and hear;
  • Must be able to withstand working outdoors in inclement weather;
  • Frequently required to sit;
  • Occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop; kneel; crouch; or crawl and smell;
  • Occasionally required to lift up to 45 pounds
  • May work in extreme heat and cold, and in damp environment with moderate noise; and
  • Remaining work is accomplished in an office or in a cubicle space equipped with a telephone and computer; time is spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer.
