PROLIM Global Corporation (www.prolim.com) is currently seeking Fraud Investigator (L1) for location, Milford, Ohio, United State location for one of our Top clients.

Job Type: Contract
Experience Required: 3+ Years
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced L1 Fraud Investigator to monitor, review, and investigate potentially fraudulent transactions, account activities, and customer behaviors. The ideal candidate will have experience in fraud detection, transaction monitoring, AML/KYC, and financial crime operations within a banking or financial services environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Review and investigate alerts generated through fraud monitoring systems.
  • Analyze financial transactions to identify unusual or suspicious activity.
  • Investigate fraud involving debit/credit cards, ACH transactions, wire transfers, check fraud, account takeover, identity theft, and digital banking.
  • Validate customer activity using available tools and data sources.
  • Identify fraud trends, suspicious patterns, and emerging risks.
  • Perform risk assessments on flagged accounts and transactions.
  • Apply established fraud rules, procedures, and controls.
  • Contact customers when required to verify suspicious transactions.
  • Perform customer authentication and identity verification.
  • Document investigation findings and actions accurately in case management systems.
  • Escalate high-risk or complex cases to L2/L3 investigators or management.
  • Meet established productivity, quality, and investigation standards.
  • Ensure adherence to BSA, AML, KYC, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support internal audits and compliance reviews as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in fraud investigation, fraud operations, AML, KYC, or financial crime operations.
  • Experience with fraud detection tools and case management platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with transaction monitoring systems.
  • Understanding of banking products including checking/savings accounts, credit cards, loans, and digital banking.
  • Knowledge of banking systems and payment networks.
  • Understanding of ACH/NACHA, Visa, and Mastercard processes.
  • Strong knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) principles.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong analytical, investigative, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to identify suspicious activity and appropriately escalate cases.

Preferred Certifications: CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner), CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist)
Important Requirement
This is an onsite position in Milford, Ohio. Candidates must be local to the Milford, OH area and able to work onsite.
