What You'll Do
As the Trans-Load Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating equipment to transfer AN product from rail cars into tankers. You will ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment for the purposed of loading and trans-loading of hot Ammonium Nitrate solution). Other duties include:
  • Ensure compliance with the applicable Company HSE Performance Standards, as well as applicable acts and regulations.
  • Complete mandatory training on-time and demonstrate competency and proficiency.
  • Ensures compliance to "Heat Injury & Illness Prevention Plan" to protect yourself and others.
  • Take measures to minimize product spillage.
  • Promptly report any significant spill(s) to manager and regulatory advisor
  • 100% compliance to all Applicable SOP, Work Instructions and all applicable regulatory and Dyno Standards.
  • Ensure proper use of fall protection and prevention (including Saferack).
  • Ensure that all safety barriers are properly placed, and hazard zones are respected.
  • Maintain proper housekeeping at and around the site
  • Accurately records entries in logbooks and communicates operating conditions to any relief operator.
  • Operate boiler to melt ammonium solution in railcars and use pneumatic equipment to mix
  • Responsible for the inspection of railcars and will make impromptu minor repairs as required.
  • Responsible for the inspection and care of loading equipment

What We're Looking For:
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical data; must have aptitude for mechanical principles and math
  • At least 21 years of age or older
  • Willingness to work early mornings/late evenings and 10-12 hour shifts as required
  • Operating equipment in the agricultural, manufacturing or food processing industry.
  • Experience in operation or maintenance of heavy equipment.
  • Must be willing to undergo and pass an ATF background check as required to be a possessor of explosives.
  • Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player
