Job description

Reporting to the Training Supervisor, you will be part of the Training Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle's values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct, and the environment. 

  • Participate and assist in daily morning meetings with the training team. 

  • Deliver training programs related to Health & Safety, equipment, and processes. 

  • Plan and organize employee training and evaluations with the concerned departments. 

  • Regularly follow up on employees' performance by setting up meetings with the concerned departments.  

  • Assist with required evaluations of operators (candidate selection, class change, promotion assessments). 

  • Ensure thorough verification, application, and development of training content based on procedures, rules, and regulations. 

  • Work in accordance with training standards established within the company. 

  • Track and update employee training data using different training platforms. 

  • High School Diploma (post-secondary education in a technical or industrial field is an asset). 

  • 2-5 years of experience as a trainer in an industrial setting (experience in mining or processing is an asset). 

  • Strong understanding of industrial processes and equipment operation. 

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint). 

  • Ability to work independently and adapt training methods to different learning styles. 

  • Having a Train-the-Trainer certification is an asset. 

Note that the official working language at Meliadine is English. 

Your Work Schedule: 

  • Schedule: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest; 

  • Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
