The Opportunity:

Reports to and takes direction primarily from, the Commercial Marketing Manager/Coordinator. Develops and maintains close working relationships with producers and underwriters and applies superior relationship skills at all times. Understands the critical need to balance client needs with spread of risk to various insurers.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • 5-7 years of commercial property & casualty experience required; experience as an Account Manager considered an asset.

  • Level 2 license required; actively working towards CAIB or CIP designation, with commitment to pursuing an advanced designation (CPIB, CCIB, FCIP, or CRM).

  • Post-secondary degree or equivalent experience preferred, with a demonstrated commitment to lifelong learning and professional development

  • Strong working knowledge of commercial property & casualty and habitational insurance coverages, products, binding authorities, and techniques for soliciting insurance terms and conditions.

  • Good understanding of commercial products offered by HUB International's insurers, including volume commitments, compensation levels, target classes of business, and risk spreading.

  • Ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with underwriters, business partners, and both internal and external clients, leveraging those relationships to maximize return to HUB International's clients and stakeholders.

  • Proven negotiation skills with a high degree of tact and persuasiveness, supported by strong problem identification and resolution abilities.

  • Acts with the highest level of integrity and readily earns trust; effective in both oral and written communication.

  • Proficient in MS Office, Broker Management Software, Policy Works, CRM, and approved building valuation software.

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, adhere to standard operating procedures, and maintain a positive, collaborative approach across varied personalities and challenges
